Creative Care Program
The Creative Care Program, formerly known as the PEACE Project, continues to thrive at four local healthcare settings and with one class at Creative Clay’s studios for residents at Benedict Haven.
The summer session will end on August 20th and the fall session begins on September 8th, following Labor Day. Benedict Haven will continue classes through the season with no break in their schedule as they begin to create work for the Folkfest St. Pete show. In the fall we are expanding to add new expressive arts sessions at St. Anthony’s in their Oncology and Women’s units and their Infusion Room. Ronald McDonald will continue with Monday and Thursday sessions as the fall is a quieter time of year for RMH. All Children’s will continue with Wednesday Dance Classes and Thursday Visual Arts sessions.
Our professional artist, David Bewley, has taken a temporary leave of absence from the Benedict Haven program and we have designated professional artist and arts educator Polly Edwards as the artist in his absence. We look forward to welcoming David back in the fall.
Alicia Loomis and Merry Vasterling continue to shine at Ronald McDonald House, All Children’s and St. Anthony’s. Thanks to both of these women for their outstanding creativity, compassion and professionalism! Wow!
Rose Marie Prins is a newly placed professional artist who is enjoying her time at Ronald McDonald and St. Anthony’s this summer tremendously. Rose Marie will be placed at the units at St. Anthony’s in the fall! Paula Kramer is a lifelong dance educator, choreographer and dancer who has joined us at All Children’s this summer to being working on choreography concepts for an upcoming ACH performance! Welcome to Rose Marie, Polly, and Paula!
