Hanna Vogeler began as a member artist at Creative Clay in the summer of 2006. Her interests are “fashion, karate, movie stars and music,” she said, and they influence her artwork. Hanna uses Sharpie markers to draw intricate fashion patterns in bright colors, and she paints portraits of pop culture figures on elaborate stages or in fanciful landscapes.

“I did love art in school. Being here, doing arts, with my friends, I like it. Painting, any type of painting. Nature stuff, Colorful, Cats, Black. Selling, making more pets, cats. A lot of exhibits coming up. The ocean stuff, under water, and cat stuff,” Hanna said. “I am a black belt. Been doing karate for 14 years, my favorite move in karate, sparring. I wanna get my other belt next, 2nd degree black belt.”

Hanna has developed her skills as a painter, and her current focus is creating beautiful colorful flowers with patterning resembling those used in her earlier fashion drawings. She has a natural sense of color and texture. Her current work in the studio includes a pink mandala created for, and sold, during the exhibit, The Mandala Project, at Florida CraftArt. Hanna's work is featured in the March 2025 exhibit in Creative Clay's Good Folk Gallery, and includes her painting, "Beautiful Flowers," which was featured in the exhibit, Cordially Invited VII, at Make Studio in Baltimore, MD, last November.”
