What began as a quest in 1960 to find meaningful opportunities her daughter Carolyn, an adult with developmental disabilities, in her hometown of Dunkirk, N.Y., became a lifelong passion to pursue equality and secure access for other individuals with disabilities. Mary Andrews, mother of Creative Clay member artist Carolyn, passed away May 12, at age 95. Mary's life of service as a treasured Creative Clay staffer, advocate and friend will be celebrated with July 13 with Mary's favorite people, including her children Carolyn, Janie and Timm, and her favorite beverage vodka to accompany her favorite nibbles.
