To see the work of Lawrence J. up close, one has the feeling of entering into a magical realm. Since 2003, Lawrence has been creating a series of pieces that chronicle the detailed daily activities of a very interesting group of witches. The witches are imbued with a “magically therapeutic” skill, relieving various personal and environmental illnesses. While Lawrence continues to grow as a painter, he also works with paper mache very skillfully. Lawrence has participated in Artlink 2007 and Artlink 2008. His artwork has been exhibited locally at various venues including The Pier, The Studio @ 620, and Florida Craft Art. He has also shown work throughout Japan in 2007. Aside from being an accomplished artist, Lawrence has a part time job at Publix Grocery store and lives happily by himself in his own apartment.
