Laura is from Lutz, Florida and has been a member artist in the Community Arts Program at Creative Clay since 2013. Laura works in the studio among her fellow artists, deeply focused on her art process.

Laura’s favorite art mediums to work with are collage and paint. “I like making collage, and I like the colors pink, yellow and green,” she said. Laura draws, paints and collages people in different scenes, such as an autumn garden or a warm interior with flowers on a table. Her people have interesting, detailed faces and attire. Laura sketches first, carefully practicing her skills, and then adds her collage pieces or paint and the artwork becomes fanciful. Sometimes her backgrounds emerge with patterns and shapes.

When asked where she gets inspiration, Laura said, “I like books and get ideas from them.” Laura’s paintings are on display in the galleries of Creative Clay.
